MMS pictures- very small, is there a fix for that?

Hi, I did a search and it seems people have been having this problem for a while now? My friend sends me a set of pictures from his Hero. The pictures look big and beautiful on his display. and then when I recieve them they look like crap! I'm using Mighty ROM 2-10-2010 build. Last time I looked he was calling this build perfect???? oops, well maybe I missed something, was there a cab I was supposed to download? I tried the "imnuts Sprint ArcSoft MMS 5.2.12.45" and it didnt workout as I had hoped it would. I even tried uninstalling the original "fix" cab first, then reinstalling the imnuts cab.

After looking through the search results, it looks like some of you have duginto your settings and changed many of them and it fixed the problem, but you couldn't pinpoint which setting fixed the problem? Can someone shed more light on this for me?=D>

It is all about how big the actually file your friend sends in. Some phones reduce the picture before it is sent

You also have to take into consideration the sender's camera resolution.
If someone with a flip phone sends you a picture your TP2 will display it small.
Come to think og it, my wife has a tp and I have a tp2 and whenever she sends me a picture it shows up smaller than actual too though. It might have something to do with the whole Sprint picture mail set up.
The only workaround I can think of is to have people send you the pic via email. But that's a hassle too.
Hopefully there's some sort of fix for you. I don't picture mail too much so no big deal but it would be nice to get the actual pic.

yes, I have been spending a lot of time on this and so far have found no good fix for getting decent sized pictures??? Just too weird, nobody else has found a way around this issue?

I tried all the CABs suggested here and elswhere and still nothing. I'm starting to wonder if maybe I needed to uninstall something first? ....Frustrating to say the least!

yea I dunno why all these roms hav mms/sms problems.

I always have to setup arcsoft, because sprint picmail app is too slow.
I always have to disable stupid garbage grey crap HTC sms, to see acrsoft in native threaded sms.
Why would anybody want dumbo-ars HTC mail, when you can add super mod cabs of native text and get super-Uber cool looking threaded sms/mms...
