Shattered my screen :(

i have insurance on one of my four family lines(mine). i have gotten 5 different replacement phones in the last year and haven't payed any 100$ deductible on any of them.

The LCD isn't cracked the Digitizer is, if the LCD was cracked. you wouldn't be getting much of a picture, and what u did would look horrid.

You can get a replacement digitizer on ebay i bet.

You can keep using it and sometime down the road it has a "factory defect", they'll replace the phone.

My buddies touch pro 1 keyboard "stopped" working because he spilled water on it. He swapped out the water damage indicators and they gave him a refurbed TP for free.

You can probably find someone in your area that does cell phone repairs, should be tons of ads on craigslist.

with verizon, just say you told them that you wanted the insurance, and you thought it was on there. not your fault they havent charged you for it. the will replace for you at the deductible amount. I spoke with executive rep. about ins. before and they informed me they dont deny anyone.

i have had my Touch Pro 2 for about 6 months and i just went down like a month ago and put insurance on it. it like $8/Month and you pay like a $50 deductible. i think they call it Product Guard. but ya man that does suck.

insurance or not that would still hurt. hope you get it taken care of. its too sweet of a phone to be looking like that.

If you want a "factory defect" install Diamond Tweak and adjust it to time out data after a fw minutes. That should jack up your ability to answer calls with the screen AND the button and get you a replacement.

Not that I'd know firsthand or anything...
