Setting the Slot Cycle Index from 2 to 1

Has anyone found a way to do this on the touch pro 2?

It changes the amount of time which your phone takes to poll the local towers. It makes it poll/ping the towers more frequently. So as to speed up the process of making/receiving calls. But, don't quote me on it!

Re: Setting the Slot Cycle Index from 2 to 1

It polls the towers more often so that there is less delay between the person actually dialing your number and your first ring. It supposedly uses up more battery life.

I think it only speeds up the process of receeving calls. Making calls involving you initiating the ping, and hence is not part of a timed process.

Re: Setting the Slot Cycle Index from 2 to 1

i usually increase it to 3 instead of reducing it cause of the battery life.
