LOL. yeah the OEMs aren't cheap. but i found this for you though
http://www.shop4tech.com/item6607.html

you can just use your wall charger's usb cable. since you can unplug the usb charger cable itself from the adapter, you can then use it with this car charger to charge your device while driving. not bad for $3 and free shipping if you're looking for a cheap car charger.

or if you want an OEM...i found this with free shipping as well for under $20

The car charger from cellularaccessories has the Mini USB connector. I already have this connector.

The shop4tech car lighter adapter is like you stated. It needs a USB cable. I'm already using that in my home.

Still searching for a solustion

Re: Name of connector fitting (Mini USB?)

Jeez... Just discovered that the ExtUSB port on the HTC phones is also a Mini-USB port.

I'm able to just plug the power adapters Mini-USB into the TP2 and I get power!!!

Re: Name of connector fitting (Mini USB?)

or you could get a regular usb lighter plug and use your sync cable for like 7 bucks.

like CnDm111 stated, you can use the sync/charger cable that you already have. that's what i use. i have two chargers using only 1 charger cable...which is the one that came with the unit when i bought the phone. i just unplug the cable from the wall adapter and plug it into my car adapter. unless you want a separate one for your car charger, that would cost you extra.
