Re: 260 error with Sprint, completely lost.
I bought it from sprint..and I went to settings>all settings>security, and it said "Your phone is SIM Unlocked." So I assumed it was how it was supposed to be. Btw I checked there before I posted this thread. I still get the error..Ill redo everything though, see if anything changes.

Re: 260 error with Sprint, completely lost.
A SIM Lock and a CID lock are NOT the same thing!
A SIM lock determines what SIM cards you can use. That is unlocked out of the box and can be check in Security as you pointed out. A CID lock determines what ROMs your device can flash. This NEVER comes unlocked out of the box! Read the ROM Flashing information as a starting point... You need to run the HardSPL to remove the CID lock... http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=93252

Re: 260 error with Sprint, completely lost.
Ahh I see..I figured as much, it couldn't have been that easy..So I've read that and as it says, If you get the 260 error then put the SSLP manual on ur phone and extract and you will get a black screen..Here is what happens for me. I get a msg saying, "This program is from an unknown publisher. Running it may be possibly harm your device"..after I continue the screen freezes.
I waited for a while for it to turn black, never happened..so I took the batter out..I'm still at a loss..Ill have to keep playing with this, thanks for the help so far. |
