Gives error "oops, something went wrong".... seemed like a good app.... kinda bummed

Re: Radio question?

Well, it looks like I'm still batting 0.

The PocketShield link looks cool, but I can't get it to lock. When I go into settings and set it to lock, and slide to activate, then close the settings, then go back in, all my settings are un-set, and I can't get the phone to lock :-/

The slacker ap would be great IF it worked.

The pandora ap would be great, but I followed that thread all the way through, and it seems nobody really has a working ap. There seems to be one that works with poor quality, but it's for VGA and is too tiny for the QVGA screen.

I haven't tried the stream center, I focused on pandora/slacker, since that was what I was looking for originally. Going there next.

I suppose I should try out nanogroove and sbp next, but I'm getting *really* discouraged. My TP2 has some really great features, but the fact that it takes so much effort to do these other things that other phones do with no effort (and no extra expense)...it's really irritating at times.

The slacker ap would be great IF it worked.

Try to soft reset after you set up Pocketshield for the first time( If you have not yet). If that doesnt work I would re-install. Also make sure you have latest version from their site. I had this working on my TP1 and now TP2 with currently no problems.

slacker app stopped working last night. I use Kinoma Play for my streaming radio needs-and extra stuff-. Not free but it gets the job done for me.

Re: Radio question?

I was using Slacker last night and it was great, hadn't tried it today, but just did when I read the posts above and lo and behold, it's freaking broken . If you the grooveshark website, you can make a playlist to use with nanogroove, but I'll also warn you, there have been issues with nanogroove although they do put out quick updates. One tried and true that has worked well was select radio and it has most of the local radio stations for me around here (although another poster was mentioning issues he's having with it today). I'm going to check out thestreamcenter later as that sounds promising too.

It's broken because some n00b here on this forum blabbed to the creators about our "leaked" ported version so they shut it down.

http://forums.slacker.com/great-job-...65.html#p29865

Fear not, though; the 'blabber' has already taken a severe beating in the release forum for ruining it for everybody. Also, the link above hints that an official WinMo version is on the horizon

Re: Radio question?

Eschelon, THANK YOU (a hundred times over)--the silence has ended! That link is amazing! I can get stations from where I live AND stations from where I'm from! The only thing lacking is a way to save the links in WMP. Oh, well, I'll live with Opera shortcuts, not a problem!

Now if only I can get PocketShield butt-dialing protection to work, I will have it made!!! I'm so happy, I really do love my TP2 and really didn't want to go to the dark side

haha no worries...I can't get to it anyway, apparently I don't have "sufficient permissions." Whateva.

Update on Pocket Shield, also an awesome app! Too bad it doesn't come built in! But definitely worth the few $ to the developer
