Re: Calendar appointments off 1 hr. -- this is absolutely driving me to drink!

MS DST update did not work for me. Running stock Sprint ROM. I'll wait and see what happens on Sunday.

Nevermind, after a soft reset all of the times were still an hour early... but the All Day events were OK. Who knows. I did call HTC and he said that they are working on a fix..... but that it will fix itself on Sunday....

Re: Calendar appointments off 1 hr. -- this is absolutely driving me to drink!

Recurring meetings are fine for me....one time setup meetings are 1 hr early.

If there is not an automatic fix on Sunday, or a quick fix, this device becomes absolutely unusable in my profession.

Ah- the time is upon us- my prediction is that our appts will be in sync after the time change- I have been hoping that the way it works is as if you where making an appointment in a time zone you will be traveling to - before you reach your destination the time will appear off compared to your pc's outlook but when you arrive the appt will be moved to the "correct time"- time will tell

Re: Calendar appointments off 1 hr. -- this is absolutely driving me to drink!

I did it the easy way... I backed up PIMBackup before the time change and when the time change hit, all my appointments were an hr ahead. So I just restored the appointments from PIM Backup, making sure to have it delete all appointments then restore from the backup. Worked fine as all appointments are now back to their correct time.

My prediction is there's gonna be some ticked off people tomorrow.

Re: Calendar appointments off 1 hr. -- this is absolutely driving me to drink!

Just FYI, I had previously 'fixed' the problem on my VZW Touch Pro 2: applied the KB on my phone, the DST fix on my desktop, manually and temporarily changed the Time Zone to GMT, changed it back, and disable Network Sync of the time. Prior to today, when I'd check one of the Calendar entries, it would briefly show the incorrect time, and then quickly change it to the correct one.

Now, without changing anything, with a fresh reset this morning, those same entries show the correct time right away, with no change necessary. So it looks like it's still 'fixed' on my TP2.

I have not yet re-enabled Network Sync of the time, and just changed it manually. Not sure if I will try this, as everything is working, but I'm inclined to think it wouldn't re-break it.

Re: Calendar appointments off 1 hr. -- this is absolutely driving me to drink!

As an option if you are using activesync with a google account and don't have too many appointments, it might be easiest to just go to www.google.com/calendar and drag each entry up an hour back to the right time. Obviously that doesn't fix the problem but ehh.. that was the easiest solution for me.

Well fortunately, my theory was right. I didn't do anything at all, and all of my appointments are correct now.
