Re: Is it worth getting the HTC TP2 for Sprint?

yes you can change the sms ringtones on the tp2. I have it on the now network. I actually traded my bb tour for the tp2 with craigslist. I am a heavy bb user but im now addicted to my tp2

You can change the sms ringtone on the tp2, but you can't set different tones per individual.

I bought my TP2 on Ebay for $325 about a month ago which was just a bit more than buying it new with contract exension/upgrade price. I would buy used from CL or Ebay because you for sure will want to upgrade when WinMo 7 comes out!

I got mine as a free upgrade from a warranty exchange. Apparently, they're out of Touch Pro's to replace... Just saying...

If any of those rumors that are on the front page of this site about winmo7 turn out to be true I'd rather stay on 6.5 anyways.

Re: Is it worth getting the HTC TP2 for Sprint?

just buy one off ebay from a popular seller with good feedback. save the upgrade in your back pocket for winmo7. if you're wanting to go android, the htc supersonic will be out in maybe a few months (1ghz processor). we probably won't see another winmo device out on sprint till q4, especially not one with a keyboard. you aren't beating the kb on the tp2, so if that's one of your priorities then this might be good for you. i can say this, tp2 is A LOT better than the tp. i can't even use the tp kb anymore and the screen looks really small now.. makes me feel old and i'm not. Everything that comes out from here on out will be much faster though.

Freeware app that claims to do the trick, and it's WinMo approved... Didn't test it but Google showed me where it was at..
