lol @ tell me how to do all this stuff i could do on my tp1 ... now i just need to see some1 respond with "use the search tool" & this thread is as good as closed lol
Actually the rule here is take some time to search and when you don't find the answer ask for help. So that's why I specifically said "if any of you know something I don't...correct me!" Learn to keep your ego issues and internet posts separate http://www.nataliedee.com/042006/dont-be-late.jpg

So it does everything I said it doesn't? Like CNTL+V on the hard keyboard? Or linking unassigned numbers to new contacts to organize messages? Or showing the battery charge indicator on the home screen like it's supposed to? Or toggling off individual TF3D interfaces while keeping others on? Or clearing text messages in All Messages view? Get it? Some of these are glitches in the software and others are tweaks that I can do once I find the right reg edits or cabs to install. If could point me in the right direction on one of those you'll get my thanks like the others have, but if you'd rather prove your Geek supremacy over me then that's cool, too.

Well man thanks for the tip on Titanium. Someone else mentioned that and I should give it more of a look. Right now I am really interested in registry tweaking every solution that I can before looking into other customization options, since reg editing is a pretty simple and effective solution I can do by myself. But maybe I gotta open up and look into custom software and downloads created by others if I want to do some these other things if registry editing won't take care of them.

Also, I have WM6.1. So maybe I should have mentioned that in the beginning? Cause I just went to "All Settings --> System" to verify that "Text Messaging" isn't there. Maybe all the people saying "learn your phone" have 6.5 because I'm just not arriving at the same screens as they are.

I guess the ultimate solution is "download 6.5 and edit first post accordingly."

if you are looking to delete a single text, when you are in threaded view (using the winmo interface), select the text you want by tapping on the words once, it should highlight the single text in a light blue tint. then hit menu soft key and then delete, and poof gone. however if you are in manila interface then i don't know, don't use manila

Re: Flaws in the Touch Pro 2 design--in my opinion

hmmm, yeah i had a feeling you were on 6.1. however i remember the setting being in the stock rom as well, as i used that for some time too. its gotta be there in the settings, just check through everything...annoying but its the only way unless someone else can give direction.

also, titanium is only for 6.5. and if you do want to run it, pm me and i can send you a cab for a Home Screen Customizer program that really makes titanium useful, before using that program it didn't suit my needs. it adds a weather panel, and a fav apps panel. you can also organize and delete ones you do not like

if you are unaware of what you are in for, heres what titanium can due for you:

Re: Flaws in the Touch Pro 2 design--in my opinion

Thank you, MrGoodCat. I actually have scoured my phone settings for the answers before searching the forums a few times, then I actually made the post. So I am following logical procedure on tracking down an answer, I just may have totally missed something obvious for one reason or another. It happens.

Anyway, thanks for the screen shot. I'll read upon the changes from WM6.1 to 6.5 first to know what I'm getting into, since I haven't done that yet. I like the background, though, on your screen shot and I think it would be interesting to try something new.

Oh yea, by clearing I mean "marking as read," not deleting. Sorry for the confusing language. Texts will be marked as read (cleared) on the messages tab of manila, but when you click "all messages" it will show new ones in several conversations. I'll check into posting a screen shot.

You want a real design flaw, the person who put the soft reset button under the battery cover should be shot.
