Re: g1 to touch pro 2
What will bring you a device with 1 GHZ and a larger screen than the TP2 has, and the battery will drain in a few hours, you cant use a stylus (I´m happy I can use one!), and some more things?
Only because the TP2 isnt the newest device, that doesnt mean its crappy.... |

Oh, one thing I just thought of is whether your car will play video while it is moving. My Infiniti dealership has loner cars and I had a loner once (G35) and noticed the video port would stop while the car was moving for safety reasons. So just something to be aware of for your system/car. |

Re: g1 to touch pro 2
the $125 price tag for a Touch Pro 2 that should just seal the deal. The Touch Pro 2 does have threaded or classic text msgs. it also has a tv out option.but does require a cable. and u wil nevr find a HD2 FOR $125,at least not for a long time. plus u can just flash a 6.5.3 rom with sense 2.5.i honestly like my TP2 just as much if not more than my girls Motorola Android. Plus they have a working bootscreen for the TP2 to choose between Windows Mobile 6.5 or Android operating system. Now the android part of the operating system is still a work in progress.but they are making good progress.but wont that be cool when our TP2s will b able to run Windows Mobile 6.5 or Android. Id get the Touch Pro 2. I use the GPS on my T.Pro2 with regular Google Maps,Bing or MSN maps with no problems.and if i run Quick GPS then run the HTC GPS Tool til it gets about 6-12 satellites locked, about 60 seconds, then when i go to google maps it only takes about 1-3 seconds to get a solid GPS lock and holds strong even when i go indoors. It gets the fastest GPS lock of anyphone ive ever had.Plus all the customizations, themes, apps, and programs available for the TP2.i was on the fence like u but i got the touch Pro 2 and never looked back.In my book it is by far one of the best PPC phones out. and ive had a Palm Pre, Palm Pixi,(hated those phones)my girls Motorola Android, and the htc phones are simply the best.My favorite so far is the TP2.hell if u dont buy it for $125 then let me buy it. ill pay $125 right now.i wouldnt pass that up.even if u dont like u could always sell it for more.

Re: g1 to touch pro 2
Also in my opinion the andriod os is theoretically better and more applicable but the windows mobile os is litterally better. I mean with windows mobile you get word, excel outlook, and many others my only thing was the gps but if it has it i think ima jump ship back to windows mobile granted hte new one will come out with a better processor but its not gonna b 125 for the phone regardless so im going to take the deal if i can.

Re: g1 to touch pro 2
I think your love the tp2. I hope you get tmo 3g where yur at tho. I don' neccessarily always subscribe to the argument that we should always wait because the next latest and greatest device is dropping in a few months. We always be waiting because that will always be the case. The tp2 is so customizable being wm and with all the customs ROMS out there it's just a flat out amazing device. You got a great price btw. Enjoy!

Re: g1 to touch pro 2
Also if you do get that tp2 and start to miss your G1 there's a thread on here for porting Android to your TP2 for CDMA here if your switching to a CDMA carrier which it doesnt sound like and there's plenty of threads over at xda for GSM phones.
