Opera in vzw 6.5 stock rom question

I tried installing the fix opera flash cab and now i have tons of errors in opera even after trying to uninstall it. So i started using opera 10 and all has been good except im getting were sorry opera 9 needs to close and asks me to send an error report. This is fine and all but im never opening opera 9 yet i still get the needs to close error.

As a quick fix i tried deleting opera 9 under the windows folder but it tells me cannot delete so my question is does any one know how to remove opera from the stock rom?

Have you changed to registry so that when you click on the X on Opera9 it actually closes?

Do do this, you have to have registry editor and edit the following registry keys:
HKCU_Software\HTC\TaskManager\ExclusiveList\
Remove Opera9.EXE and Opera9L.exe from this list
HKCU_Software\HTC\TaskManager\TerminateProcess\
Add DWord named Opera9.exe and set value to 1
Add DWord named Opera9L.exe and set value to 1

Do a soft reset and then when you click on the X, it will close Opera9 instead of minimizing it.

This should take care of the Opera10 error message you are seeing.

thank ill give it a shot i was hoping it was something simple. will it let me delete the opera 9 folder after i change that? wouldnt mind freeing up the space ne way.

went and changed all the reg settings and it is still poping up everytime i soft reset. it shows up while windows is first loading.

lol this kinda doesnt have to do with this thread but Ive been lookin 4 this everywhere...
