I'm sure if I broke it myself I wouldn't ask for a replacement and play dumb and act like it died on its own. But to each his own I guess. And some people actually don't understand why carriers frown upon hard unlocking and stuff? I am sure it costs the carriers/insurance millions a dollars a year where people mess up their devices doing stuff they shouldn't and they foot the bill to fix.

I don't want to sound to high and mighty. I use custom ROMs and what not. I just wouldn't break my phone myself and expect someone else to fix on their dime. That's all...

Well sorry to say you already broke your phone intentionally in the carriers eyes when you hard spl'ed your phone...

So I assume if/when your tp2 fails your not gonna bring it to the carrier repair place or use assurion since you voided that already?

OP: nice pic, sucks it bricked....lol

Re: This is what a true bricked TP2 looks like.

imo...(me as example) i pay 7$ a month on insurance have been the last say 3 years. 7 times 36 is 252$. i used it once After the deduc. changed to 100$. and i sent the broke phone back, so i technically payed 352$ for a replacement and it was a reburb. @ that. which prolly cost them pennies on the dollar to fix just to sent it 2 you for another 100$ deduc. BELIEVE ME... the insurance companies are making well enough $. and i think your technically only allowed to claim 1 lost/stolen phone per year cause they really wont be able to turn it round so otherwise you gotta send them the broke, so then they turn it round 4 profit.

imo...the/all insurance companies are a scam...damit cause by the time i need to send in 4 a reburb i had already paid retail an then sum...4 a refurb!

just my thoughts, take no offense
