Re: Help me with AV cables please.

I guess no one has gotten what i'm looking for (yet i dont know how) the touch pro two is 480x800. Now i'm putting it on a tv that WAY bigger then that obviously. Now i am looking for, IN PORTRAIT (regular mode), for the screen on my phone to be displayed on the tv. Its possible, anything is possible the tv is bigger then the phone there plenty of space i just need help in doing so. The magnification would no be as much.... now do you guys get what im trying to say? Sorry im not being clear...

Also a vid of D/\sh doing it exactly how i want to.
I've asked him already hopefully hear from him soon.

Re: Help me with AV cables please.

You're missing our point. We aren't arguing about size, we're talking about aspect ratio.

Your phone in portrait is taller than it is wide. Your TV is wider than it is tall. So the image on one will not fit on other unless it either adds bars around itself or ends up stretched.

Have you ever watched a widescreen or letterboxed movie on one of those non-widescreen TV's? You get black bars along the top and bottom. Imagine if you took away the black bars, the image would be twice as tall as it was supposed to be and would be distorted.

That's what you're trying to do. You're trying to take an image that's taller than it is wide and show it on a display that's wider than it is tall. That will result in lots of wasted space along the sides of the image on the TV. Is that what you want?

If you want a full-sized phone image to show up full-sized on the TV without being distorted, it won't work that way.

@dtjohnst

I know nobody is arguing, . I understand what your saying and the black to the left and right of the phone image is fine I would just rather the phone be seen and experienced in portrait as I personally use my phone. Check the video out i linked in my last post. ^ That is perfect.

Ah, video is much better than words. I was hoping you would post one before I made my reply. Could you maybe link to the exact video? You linked to Dash's entire video history. Sifting through them on my phone is taking awhile.

Re: Help me with AV cables please.

Are you sure that's just TV out and not a different application?
