Re: Help me with AV cables please.
I do not have the AV cables... However it would make sense that your phone would go into landscape mode while the cable is plugged in... as that would be how it would display on your television. (Your TV is not in portrait mode)
Secondly... or should I say firstly... lol. The correct setting would be NTSC if you are using a yellow video cable on your TV... However without knowing exactly what cables you have it is just an assumption on my part. p. |

Re: Help me with AV cables please.
NTSC for North America (PAL for Europe).
Your TV is landscape, so is the phone in this mode.

Re: Help me with AV cables please.
I couldn't find anyway to switch mine while the cable is plugged in, which brings me to my question: Why? Did you flip your TV over on its side? If you were to force portrait when using the TV out function, everything on your TV will be sideways. What am I missing here? I'm not trying to be condescending or anything, I'm just curious.

Re: Help me with AV cables please.
I know what your saying, as I have experienced that in portrait mode side ways. I want it to be in portrait mode on my phone and on the tv normally(vertically). I think I saw a video of dash doing it before I'm probably going to ask him.

Re: Help me with AV cables please.
Wouldn't you have big black bars along the screen? I mean...you want display on one to be a different aspect ratio then the display on the other. So either you have black bars along the top and bottom of your phone, or you have black bars along the left and right of your TV. Either that or the image would be really squished on one of the two. Unless you can show us this video explaining what you want, it sounds like what you're asking doesn't make any sense.
