Re: Sprint TP2 BestSkinsEver - Fail
this is a fantastic review, with pictures. This is what convinced me to get the phantom skinz. Unfortunately, it's for the palm pre, so it's not exactly the same, however it gives you an indication of the way ClearCoat, Best Skins Ever, Intellishield and Phantom Skins looks next to each other. I thought it was great.

Re: Sprint TP2 BestSkinsEver - Fail
I've had the BestSkinsEver skin on my TP2 since two days after it was released (mail took 2 days to get to me) and it fits and holds perfect.
You have to know how to install these skins before attempting it. The small bits that won't stick properly when they're still a bit wet, let them sit for about 15 minutes and dry up, then try again.. if they still don't stick, wait another 5-10 minutes and try again. Not only that, but you're suppose to let the phone sit for at least 24 hours so the skin can adhere to the phone and evaporate the remaining moisture. It sounds to me like you tried to use your phone too soon and the sides peeled up. This is obviously a case of user-error and not following the directions. I've installed probably 50 BestSkinsEver skins, including 3 for the TP2 (including my own device) and I've never had trouble with them. The only difference I can conclude is that I've installed BSE skins multiple times, and know exactly what I'm doing. Try again. They will probably send you a replacement if you tell them you had trouble with it and send it back to them. I bet if you follow the directions next time, you'll change your opinion of the product.

Re: Sprint TP2 BestSkinsEver - Fail
I ordered from BSE, the trick is to use glasses cleaner, or a mixture of half water and half 70% alcohol, this way it evaporates away faster and is not harsh enough to screw up the adhesive. Place the screen protector in place and use a soft flexible plastic card, credit cards tend to be too firm, so i use my Metro Card (NYC subway/bus pass) basically about the thickness of a regular business card but plastic. Anyways, worse comes to worse use your credit card. If the screen protector is too short or narrow, this is the time you can use to stretch it to fit perfectly... line up two corners of the protector and blow dry it down until it sticks, pull the screen protector down to appropriate length and hold and blow dry. For the side piece do the same thing, this allows you to get that extra little bit that sticks out to stick to the phone and not attract lint, allow it to over lap the other adjacent pieces, then use a NEW razer blade or box cutter to cut off the overlapping excess.
Although the first day or two there may be small water bubbles/oily smear look to it caused by little water droplets that can be squeegeed out, it will evaporate soon enough. Don't try to force the little bubbles out, otherwise it will scar the skin, let it naturally flatten. For best results do this in the bathroom with hot shower running to steam up the area and prevent dust from getting trapped under the skin... There you have it a cheap perfectly sized, well applied screen protector.

Wirelessly posted (HTC Touch Pro 2 (Sprint): Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile6.0) Sprint T7380)
phantom skinz is great. application was a cinch & even tho i only use it for the screen i have to mention it. its not a 100% fit but close enough & if ya follow the instructions you cant go wrong. when i got my replacement tp2 from sprint when my first tp2 took a dump i wanted to see if i could salvage the skin ... the fact it was a p.i.t.a to take off proves to me its quality .. sadly i wasnt able to save it but i got a promotion when i ordered it so paid a great price & got 4 when i ordered 2

Re: Sprint TP2 BestSkinsEver - Fail
That's exactly what I do. Except with my TP1, the day I bragged to a 'skinned' coworker about being skinless, I dropped it on asphalt and put some nicks in it. This was after months of being drop free. Therefore, I will drop my TP2 today.
