Sprint Touch Pro 2 Text Message Notification

On the Touch Pro, there was a setting that could turn off the Text Message Received notification (which also contained the message for all to see), but I have not been able to find the same feature to disable it on the TP2. Has anyone been able to suppress these messages? All I want to see is the little slider icon lit, and the chime heard, I don't want to see the popup that contains the message.

Can anyone help?

To disable the notification screen just go to Settings-Sounds & Notifications->Notifications Tab and select Messsaging: New text message for the Event and deselect the check mark highlighted below:
