I dropped my TP2 into the ocean on a deep sea fishing trip. It was not fine.

remember when covering with scotch tape to put something over the scotch tape where it will cover the sensor... otherwise it will pull up the sensor and be obvious tampering. I'd suggest something like a small piece of paper

I agree. First cover it with a small bit of paper and then place on the scotch tape. You don't want to end up tearing off the sensor. Then it will do you no good.
