Re: ??? Garmin XT ???
Garmin XT is terrible on the interface. It is slow. But the only good thing about it is that you can get lots of maps. They have open source and map you can pay.
If you want to spent money on it, I would get iGo8 on your TP2. Second would be TomTom7. |

Re: ??? Garmin XT ???
Does anyone know of opensource maps for Greece and Greek Isles for Garmin Mobile XT? I will be on vacation there for a couple of weeks in a few months, and don't want to pay the $99 Garmin charges for maps for just 2 weeks of use.
I'd prefer to have routing capabilities if possible. I've done some googling but haven't found exactly what I'm looking for yet, and am suspicious of some of the sites I've come across.

I had TomTom7 running on both 6700 and TP2 before going to Garmin XT. Garmin XT is an easier interface, and I think faster to get me to the maps and such. I have iG08 but have not had a chance to install and use it yet. I just got back from a 890mi round trip for work. Used GarminXT the whole way and was really happy with it. I have the 2009 maps so need to update to 2010 maps but other then that it was spot on (still has GPS lag but that is a whole neigher issue and its really not that bad).
