Re: How do people who owned the original Touch Pro feel about it now?

Well I absolutly love my TP2. After going through 7 moguls in under a year then 4 TP's in under a year (only had to pay for one replacment 50$ ), this phone just blows me away with the screen being so big and the keyboard plus the tilt is amazing because I always envyd my friends tilt. I do wish it had a flash and a vibrator like the TP because the vibration is sooooooo loud compared to the nice quiet one on the TP.

Can't even imagine why I loved and defended that phone to all the naysayers. I would put my TP2 up against any phone out there.

Re: How do people who owned the original Touch Pro feel about it now?

I went from the 6700 to the TP. I skipped the Mogul, it just didn't seem justified. Coming from the 6700, the TP was amazing. It's still a pretty good phone, if you get one without hardware issues too bad. But compared to the TP2, it's just a joke. The TP -> TP2 still isn't the upgrade the 6700 -> TP was, though.

Functionally, the TP2 doesn't have much on the TP, it's just so much better at what it does. It's everything the TP intended to be.

Re: How do people who owned the original Touch Pro feel about it now?

I came here looking to see what was going on. I am getting tired of windows 6.1 and I know that 6.5 will never come, and i hate th 6.5.x custom roms. I know everyone is jumping ship from the tp and most went tp2. The list of features that was missing on tp2 is why i didn't switch. biggest issue for me was going from the mogul to the tp then to a tp2 with bigger screan and same res as my mogul. That was the first thing that killed it for me to go tp2. I knew it had no flash, an other killer. To have an old friend that works at sprint inform me that the tp2 had issues that sprint couldn't resolve and was the reason it never hit sprint stores and is only avail online or as a nagging request for a replacement, an other killer. But to read here and find it doesn't vibrate, holy cow not everyone works at a library. when i can't hear it i can feel it and still miss a call sometimes. I have one on cricket and the screen died and one on sprint. cricket one is a battery charger, and if it wasn't for the fact I'm scared to leave home changing out batterie 3-6 times a day, i would say it is a great device.

Was hoping to find something here to make me want a tp2 if sprint doesn't get the hd2, but finding self thinking of changing carriers to get out of my tp.

uh no.. do it through tele sales. Might have to pay close to full price, but you can get this phone with original SERO.

Re: How do people who owned the original Touch Pro feel about it now?

Unless you are in need for a vibrator of some sort at night, i dunno. TP does vibrate.
Here is my ppc history
ppc 6700 (1)
ppc 6800 (1) still have it and use it for some isht
HTC Pro (1) a great piece of technology, over a year old, still have it,works wonder (had the power switch changed once , that includes upper screen), that is it. this mo fo rocks
HTC pro 2 few and new , am just customizing one extensively now, and this isht is a beauty.

I say care and savoir -faire plays a big role in keeping your ppc in a good working condition doing what you want IT to do, nomsayin yeah maybe a good unit to start with

Yes, I feel gr8 bout TP.

Re: How do people who owned the original Touch Pro feel about it now?

well i'll do some searching in this thread for screenshots, I just don't want to get stuck with a dated device with no support just to have new and not like it. not a big guy 5'7 165lb i would look silly with a shift stuck to my ear and it needs to fit confy in pocket.
