Re: People who upgraded from ORIGNAL touch pro 1... how you like TP2???

All I know is the hardware + software isn't an epic fail like the F'n TP1. I had to do a refurb 2 times for my TP1 before I accidentally partially bricked it.

Getting the TP2 and loading a custom rom was the best idea ever in relation to phones!

i agree with that! i have to open up my phone just to reset OR! remove my sd card...they shouldve put the reset hole and sd slot at the bottom like the mogul exspecially people like me always tweaking and adding programs that need to reset..one of these days the latch for batt cover is going to get worn out...and i like the tp2 more..slick view less buttons..its has the same GUTS as the tp1 no difference..

Re: People who upgraded from ORIGNAL touch pro 1... how you like TP2???

I really miss the Ctrl key I use to press Ctrl C and V all the time. Now I can't do copy paste anymore on the quick have to hold the stylus and the text to copy. I also hate how the enter key doesn't actually send the text anymore you have to touch send. Not trying to be lazy but when I have a lot to say and the 160 characters aren't enough I use to press enter and then continue typing.

On the plus side it does seem more responsive even though the processor and ram decreased I believe it just seems more responsive and little things like when I press to reply to a text the cursor is there already I don't have to click on the area to type. The most awesome feature I like however is not having to press the power button anymore to talk. The sensor on the TP1 sucked it would never turn off when my face came into contact TP2 does it instantly.

TP3?! Please HTC use the touch capacitor screens that the iPhones have they just work so much better and the Touch Pros would be taken so much more seriously. I have way too much accidental clicks. Oh and an Alt+Tab like feature would be great.

I'd vote they keep the Capacitive screens out. I actually want to use my phone outside in the winter... Like now where we have the nice 0 degree F temps with 20 mph winds here in Philadelphia... Gloves are needed and that would stop my from using my screen on a Capacitive screen.

Re: People who upgraded from ORIGNAL touch pro 1... how you like TP2???

I keep seeing posts about the battery life being only a little better than the TP1. I guess this depends on your usage.

On a typical day, I'd have about 20-30% left on my TP1 at the end of the night. As for my TP2, I've gone 2 whole days without recharging, and I had 40% left on the second night. I'm usually right around 50-60% at the end of the night under a day of heavy usage.

here. install the cab and load the xml file within the rar into the app. it will make fn+a, fn+c, fn+x, and fn+v react like their ctrl+... counterparts

anyway, back on topic:

For the most part, my TP2 is leaps and bounds better than my TP. Some standouts:

Pros:
-Better keyboard, no delay on sms typing
-Better screen and speakerphone
-Better battery life...will actually last a day with moderate-heavy usage.
-Better build quality/screen responsiveness
-feels snappier in general

That being said, there are some cons:
-navigation dpad
-soft reset button is covered
-less available program memory
-no flash/camera quality
-i did like the magnetic stylus and ring of light notifications

overall however I feel like the right concessions were made, and would not go back to the tp with the tp2 being available
i'll agree with everything here, pretty much. i did like the dpad but i can live without it, honestly

Re: People who upgraded from ORIGNAL touch pro 1... how you like TP2???

too easy

After using my tp2 for a while, i went back to my tp since i still have it and that's where you'll notice the true difference. the screen looks so small now and the keyboard is actually difficult to use after using the tp2s

size feels good in hand and it doesn't feel like a burden

battery life is so much better for me... i got a day out of my tp and with the tp2 i get almost 2

speakerphone is great, so loud and clear

as for cons, i just miss using the flash as a flashlight when i drop my keys in the movie theater.
