Sense 2.1 Weather animation stops working

I hate noticed that after my animations stop working, if i run cleanram, then go to the weather tab, then click on the task manager the animations are working again.

i am thinking this is because ramcleaner is restarting manila.exe...

anyone know what "all programs" does to manila ???


or any other ideas ???

Sorry no help with how to permenantly fix, but to quickly restart Sense 2.1.

I posted this problem on another forum and there was one suggestion that will restart Sense without a soft-reset or cleanRam...that is to go to start settings, go to "Customize Tabs", then move a tab(icon) to another position let go. Then just move it back to its original spot, then return to the today screen. Sense will restart and the animations will return. Just a tad quicker to fix, but still annoying.

Wish I had a real solution!!

The weather animation stops working if you change your background wallpaper. To get it back, follow these steps...

1. Download iSS Registry Editor here
2. Once installed, run it and navigate to: HKCU/software/htc/manila/
3. Delete the content values for CashedBackgroundPath and HomeBackgroundPath, DO NOT DELETE THE KEY THEMSELVES!
4. Reboot the device
5. Set wallpaper to original default, animated weather will return!
