Phone answers while in case in pocket

Hi all, I searched and found similar posts, but they do not fit my scenario.

I have been using my T-Mobile TP2 for about 3 weeks. I use the stock case in my front pocket. When I get an incoming call, it seems the Send or End buttons are getting pushed while trying to retrieve the phone from pocket/case.

I see the slide to answer / slide to ignore call, which seems intended to prevent inadvertent touch screen touches to answer.

I'd like to disable all buttons on incoming calls except the built in slide to answer.

Is this possible?

Thank you in advance for any help. This forum is a great resource and wealth of knowledge.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I have actually. I call it from home # while holding the phone in my hand, while the phone is locked and off/asleep. When the phone rings, the touch screen lights up, I see the slide to answer screen. I push every button individually to see what happens as well as tapping screen in several places and partially sliding the slide to answer area.

No buttons or taps have any effect except:

Send - answers call
End - ignores call, caller sent to vm.

Hence I'm looking to disable those two buttons during incoming call.

search for s2u2. I've been using it for years and works perfect. Plus it's free!

Re: Phone answers while in case in pocket

Although s2u2 is free, a lot of posters (including me) have had nothing but trouble with it.

I switched to Pocket Shield because of this & never looked back. PS is a MUCH lighter program, doesn't kill your battery like s2u2 & has none of the bugs many people have experienced with s2u2.

s2u2 also make's the phone really laggy...and the slider doesn't always unlock the phone. Thats just my experience....I removed it within a few minutes of testing it.

Re: Phone answers while in case in pocket

Hmm...wonder why it answer when it's in your "Pocket" a place phones tend to "Pocket Dial". I give you perks for using a case, but I get you a slap on the wrist for putting a expensive phone like the TP2 in your pocket. Without contract that phone retails for almost $700...Do you really think a premium PocketPC phone should be put in your pocket where you risk damaging it? I know I'm going off on a tirant...but I just don't see the logic behind some peoples thinking when they put a expensive phone in there pants...It's not meant to be put there.

I have never had problems with my phone dialing...I don't put my phone in my pockets. I carry my phone in my original HTC branded leather belt holder...and it's still in perfect condition.

There are programs out there to rectify your issue...but I stress you think twice when putting your phone in your pocket..
