my annoyances...

so ive had my tp2 for about a month and im already getting quite irritated with a few things...

-is their a way to turn off the touchscreen while on the phone??

-the lag is unbearable when i get off phone calls and i click 'end call' and the screen freezes then i end up autodialing someone...

-for some reason while texting my response texts disappear after i send them and it only shows the other persons text in chat format.

-my texts lag in general. sometimes my recent texts will appear in conversations from days ago.

-i have to basically zoom in all the way just to click on links while browsing opera

-when i use a program then close it sometimes half teh program screen gets stuck and i have to pull the battery out just to fix it.

-my phone only connects via bluetooth when it wants to.

sometimes my old centro seems like it was more dependable when it mattered compared to this thing. but since this is the last supposide smart phone thats sero capable i guess im stuck with it..

What rom are you using?
The stock rom?
If so, that's the problem....

sounds like you've got a busted tp2, soldier. mine goes dark when i put it to my face, then lights up when i pull it away.

Guaranteed fix. Follow these steps...

#1: Backup all of your contacts, calendar, tasks, pictures, documents, and anything else saved on the phone itself. stuff on your storage card is fine, but backup the phone stuff. I suggest using MyPhone, found at http://myphone.microsoft.com and selecting contacts, calendar, tasks, and text messages. Then copy any pictutes and documents you have on the device to your storage card (don't select storage card as a sync option in MyPhone).

That is guaranteed to fix every one of those problems. Unless you have some sort of hardware issue (which I doubt you do) then you will think you have a new phone after following those steps.

wow those are some issues....it'd be more than annoyances to me. my sprint tp2 doesnt experience any of those problems, its a little over a month old too. are you past the 30 day period? maybe the sprint store would let you exchange it if you show them these issues. otherwise maybe try a hard reset? good luck!

I absolutely agree. You should take the phone back. Even if you are outside of your 30 days, sounds like manufacturer defects to me. Especially the failing proximity sensor while on the phone, mine works incredibly well.

My phone works great but I also have the problem in Opera. It's hard to press the links without zooming in once or twice. Kind of annoying. I don't share any of the other problems.
