But alas, I have to relock my phone and send it back, USCC is sending me another TP2, the camera is really grainy on this one. The camera in the TP was 300% better. So now I get to see if the unlocker will work for my new (prbably refurbished) phone Monday or not. :(

it won't work for you if you try it on the same computer or internet connection that you used when unlocking your first phone because they log that info and store it on the unlocker server. the unlocker only allows one free unlock. you have to get on a different computer using a different internet connection so that when you download the unlocker and run it, they will not see that you've used it before. And make sure the antivirus and firewall is turned off when you do it. these things are mentioned a zillion times in the unlocker thread. just wanted to make sure you know this so that you're not one of the 2 or 3 people complaining about the unlocker not workin.

Well, that may be a problem. Hmmmm I guess I can do it at work, but I can't shut off the anti-virus there. Oh well, it doesn't matter too much, I like the stock ROM, but always wanted it unlocked in case I wanted to flash to something different. Not a big deal staying on stock.

you can always go to a friends or borrow a friends laptop or something. of course you have the pay option too. you could run the unlocker on the same one you used on your first phone, and then if it does detect you like it should, you just click the pay option and pay the 6 bucks and change and then the unlocker will continue with unlocking your phone. or if you don't want to pay, and the unlocker detects that you've used it before, then you can send them a ticket from their website with your imei # and wait for them to unflag you from the server.

Razorloves-

Why would we pay the $6 if we have NEVER unlocked a phone before and the developers ignore these threads and emails?

thats a very small price to pay to unlock your phone and have the freedom to flash roms and radios. if you feel unlocking your phone is not worth a measly 6 bucks then move along. perhaps your ticket was ignored cause you didn't provide the proper info. who knows. it really sucks that you have this problem and i do feel for ya, but what can you do. it's just a couple people trying to provide the world with a service. they are not some big company. jmho

I think you're missing the point.
I'm happy to pay the $6 if I KNEW it would give me the ability to unlock my TP2 for the rest of my ownership.

But, since these threads are being ignored, and I can't even get a response, I have no faith that the unlocker is going to work in the 1st place, let along ongoing.
Add the fact that we're all being accused of "previous unlocks" when we KNOW there are no such attempts, and it get;s even shadier.

All the developers have to do is get on here and address the situation in order to restore faith.

Yup.. similar to what I just said. If I knew for a fact it would work, I would gladly pay the donation. Even if your A/V is disabled, the unlocker still has many problems and doesn't work half the time. And why have to pay AGAIN simply because it didn't work the second time around? You should only have to pay once , and the HSPL should 100% unlock your device without forcing another donation. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be negative, just trying to make a point. And to those of you who think I am whining or making a big fuss over this and that I should just move on and forget all about it...umm no. I am NOT whining. I just want something that WORKS. Is that so hard to ask for?

Re: Is there more than 1 unlocker for tp2?

you guys really have no clue how many people unlock their phones every day with no problems at all. EVERYDAY! The unlocker can be finicky and require a computer savy person at rare times, which is unfortunate, but to say it doesn't work half the time is a joke. Most of the time the problem is caused by someone not following the instructions in the first post. Which is not a knock on anyone. It's just that some people dont know enough about these phones and computers to follow them properly. Not being able to identify what antivirus and firewall software is running on the computer and then temporarily disabling it causes problems too.

YOU obviously have no idea how many times the unlocker is NOT working.

The developers STILL have not addressed this issue here.
The developers STILL have not returned my e-mail.
