I agree in that I have no problem donating as they've worked hard and deserve it, but there have been more than one instances where first time flashers have been told it's not their first and people that have paid for full unlocking of their phone, got a new phone under warranty or insurance and have had to pay again to unlock....

I agree, Olipro's HSPL is very troublesome. I see so many people... so many FRUSTRATED people going through so many steps, donating several times, emailing the author and STILL cannot unlock their friggin phone. In many instances, the author had not responded to their emails. As far as I have seen. the author has not replied to posts in XDA's thread for quite sometime. This unlocker bugs the hell out of me. Believe me, I appreciate the hard work these guys do, but come on, this app is full of so many bugs. They desperately NEED to update it . This is the first unlocker I seen that has had this much trouble with it. It's ridiculous.

I tried it and didn't get far with it on Windows Vista. I have XP on my home PC and the only internet I have is VZ's broadband via my TP2 so I CANNOT use that. I used my sisters Vista laptop and ran into a ton of trouble just trying to get the file extracted from the zip. Vista or some other app in it kept deleting it everytime I extracted it, or I would get a file with 0 bytes. Extracted it on the phone and sure enough, it extracted no problem. I didabled all AV stuff on Vista, but STILL something was getting to it before I could even see it. Gawd I hate Vista to death!

I have done it twice already and on the same phone. The first time when I got my phone, to see if it would work, then I relocked it and I did it again just a week ago. AVG gave me a bunch of problems, but I unistalled it and it worked great. For some reason my laptop rebooted (I think I was uninstalling another program at the time and it rebooted) So I ran it a third time so I can make sure it's unlock. No problems at all. What you hearing is very limited amounts of complaints. You don't see many threads saying "How great it worked" and "Smooth installation!! No Problems" Becasue not many people post those types of threads. They only post when there is a problem. So don't judge a product solely on the complaints, ask for people opinions also, see if you can get the ones that it worked smoothly for to reply. :headbang:

I have run into the same problem... Tried the unlocker, says I have already used it and I haven't. I don't mind donating for their work, IF IT WORKS! So far it doesn't... I submitted a ticket, and get back an e-mail saying it will work if I donate... If that is what is going on here, they should just say that... I am not going to throw money at it hoping it will work...

This is exactly why I stopped fussing with it. Since when did we have to pay to get our phones unlocked, let alone pay and then still not be unlocked? When did you ever need an internet connection to have to unlock your phone? Not up til this device. The GSM people don't gotta deal with this mess, why should us CDMA people gotta do so? I'm not complaining, or whining, I'm just frustrated with this and trying to make a point. Heck, I might as well send it out someplace and THEN pay them to unlock it for me. At least I know it will be unlocked and not have wasted 20 - 30 bucks to do so. Such a royal pain in the ass.

Sorry for the rant. No flames please...

Its not about that..the reason why they do the activation thing is to prevent their hard work from being used by others to make money. If they chose they could not release the unlocker at all. But it would be nice if they could put up some site where you can log in and see the date, time and the device you unlocked..this way you know why exactly this is happening rather then guessing.

Not true. the gsm tp2 and a few other devices have the same hspl unlock process. and it's only 6 bucks and some change, not 20 to 30 dollars.
