Re: Verizon Win6.5 out!

What seems to be the consensus on battery life? People on MightyMike's 1/10 are reporting significant battery drain (using this 6.5 rom as kernel) and others are suggesting that it is a problem with this rom. So what say you?

Re: Verizon Win6.5 out!

@natemack33: I was having HORRIBLE battery on the first day until I let it sit on the charger all night. I had initially let it sit plugged into my computer and it said 100% but I sincerely doubt it was full. I let it drain completely and then charged it fully and now I'm getting the same (or possibly better) battery life as 6.1.

On a side note, I know that there were numerous posts regarding forcing Opera to close when X was hit, what I found after upgrading was that Internet Explorer now behaves the same way (didn't notice it doing so before the upgrade). To fix this you have to delete the following:
From HKCU\Software\HTC\TaskManager\ExclusiveList\System
delete BrandedBroswer.exe. It's a DWord with a value of 0. Don't know why they put it in there in the first place but it was and getting rid of it allows X to actually kill it.

Finally, for those of you who don't want to search either back to post #354 of this thread or in the thread referenced previously, the following has worked for me and I've been updating within 5 minutes of a half hour since I set it and rebooted last night:
(Credit to drewcam888 )
As drewcam888 says in his post, the number you enter (DWord Value) is the update interval.
Create this DWord entry in the following key:
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\
Dword Name: Weather.AutoDownloadInterval
DWord Value: 30 (Decimal)

Re: Verizon Win6.5 out!

Is anyone having an issue with Active Sync? Either by USB or OWA? For some reason I can no longer get my outlook data. Just curious, about to call the tech support

This looks like a YMMV fix. Unfortunately, my mileage has been pretty poor

Re: Verizon Win6.5 out!

Well here's a little tid bit to that info.

I not only get towns around me, but if I load up Google GPS it is alsop putting me in those same areas. I can even zoom in and get the address it says my phone is currently located at, problem is IM NOT THERE!!!!!

[EDIT] Btw., I'm having the same location issue with my weather as everyone else here seems to be having. The area I live in hasn't had any boundaries redrawn since the cities were incorporated decades ago. With the exception of BacardiGuy's issue, I think this may be due to the use of cell towers for location and there being some location drift. Perhaps we have two separate issues here, a database and a location issue.
