Looks like this is not unique to those who are running SPB (I'm not running it and still get the Messaging title)

Wonder if we should get a succinct bug list put together somewhere along with any solutions. I tried the registry mod for the weather update, set it to 30 minutes, soft-reset, and haven't seen any improvement.

So far I have experienced:

1. The text Messaging showing up in title bar randomly(?) when not in Messaging
2. Weather not updating
3. Clock on home screen not synced with Clock in task bar (apparently not a 6.5-only issue but still annoying and inexcusable)
4. HKLM\Software\HTC\ResProxy is non-settable
5. Opera crashing and going back to Home Screen when not in use for long period of time. This is intermittent and I can't duplicate it at will yet.

Did people with weather update problem do the following registry change. I have and 85% of the time it updates under an hour. There are times when it seems to get lost but I bet this is an unfix-able problem related to sense 2.1

Probably not a bug, but I can't seem to get the task manager icon at the top right of the screen to turn back on. I checked the registry values in "HKCU\Software\HTC\TaskManager" and they seem to be set correctly to display it.

Tried this already. It isn't CM guardian or either of the two startup programs I couldn't identify. For whatever reason, it has been decided by the powers that be that we should not be able to turn off resproxy.

Seems to occur everytime I hit the button on top to wake the screen. Glad to hear it's not just a SPB shell thing. The contacts navigation is invaluable to me.

Have tried it and I am at about an hour and 20 minutes with NO update. The fix has not worked for me apparently.

Edited: The default time is apparently every three hours...mine was not updating at that interval, either.

So is there a copy of the stock 6.1 Verizon rom out there in case for some strange reason I hate the 6.5 stock rom? I have to stay with stock roms for work, so I can't go to Mighty or Juicy etc. Just curious

I don't think I'd put too much stock in your e-mail from Verizon. Their reps are notorious for not being informed.

Verizon has released the update, or it wouldn't be on the PCDPhones site. That is the site they use to publish their updates. If you wait for Verizon to announce the update, it'll be time to buy a new phone . . .

I have the phone on and on the home screen at my desk, keeping an eye on the weather...it's been two hours with NO update in conditions (should have been 4 updates and two of those should have brought a new set of numbers since the airport here updates hourly). HOWEVER, I did just notice the animation kick in for a second or two. It would have been pretty close to when an update should have taken place, but the conditions displayed on the home screen have NOT changed since I changed the registry entry.

It's like the update is TRYING (it replays the animation part just fine) but failing to actually get new numbers. I'm having no network issues and I can get to accuweather just fine via browser.
