Videos work better with 6.5

With the update, I noticed that my videos worked better. Before with 6.1, I had to disable Bluetooth for videos to play smoothly. With 6.5, videos play flawlessly. Now I can watch videos without having to disable any bluetooth connections.

Re: Verizon Win6.5 out!

Is anyone randomly get "Messagaing" in the header along with the "OK & Cancel" buttons at the bottom of the screen with the new upgrade for Verizon TP2? I am using SPB Mobile Shell. I remember it happening on my original TP when using WM6.5. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Re: Verizon Win6.5 out!

Wrote to Verizon yesterday and got the standard "we don't know when it will be released in case expectations aren't met" clause.

I'm going to wait and see if they release it by this weekend, if it's not on thier website by then I'm going to download this from the links posted here. I'm tired of waiting to have bluetooth function properly on this device.

Seriously, why is Verizon still sitting on thier hands to release this if it updates the radio and fixes some of the other problems?

Re: Verizon Win6.5 out!

installation said it would take 10...
was done in 5 or less
very clean and seems to be running smoother. the htc updated interface has everything that i wanted w.out running any mods. i have 3 simultaneous apps running and still at 80% and when all is quit, back in the 60s. i love it.
winmo 6.5 also brings the window's device interface which... if you love zune... anyways.
i'm happy. almost feels like a new phone.

Why yes, as a matter of fact, I am. The first time or two it happened I thought I might have been seeing a delayed refresh from having been in my mailboxes but I have been seeing it after periods of non-use while in Opera especially. Can someone say "Not ready for prime time yet?"

Weather still not updating consistently. It DOES update (sometimes) but sometimes takes hours to do so. If it's going to be that klutzy, the date of the last weather update should be included on the home screen. In fact, it should be included anyway. The current weather info on my home screen is about 4 hours old at the moment. I'm going to just leave it and see when/if it changes.

Edited: BTW, I am not using SPB here

On a positive note, though, at least the CLOCK on the home screen is updating

Is this not the release? Does Verizon _ever_ release any updates on their website?

They did with the 6800 and after reading all the threads I'm about to pull the trigger. I'd do it today but unfortunately I just don't the time to redo all the the tweaks so it will have to be on the weekend.

What I recalled seeing was a link to UTStar from the Verizon site when it came available (V didn't even host the file when I upgraded my 6800). Verizon's link for the MR update for the XV6800 currently goes to:

http://www.pcdphones.com/phone_downl...zon%20Wireless

Which is pretty much the same as the TP2 link we have now (same distributor at least) This is probably as good as we're going to get from VZW, unfortunately. But you're right, Verizon doesn't even have the link for the update showing at the moment for the TP2.

I'm getting this occasionally as well. Also running SPB MS.
