What I recalled seeing was a
link to UTStar from the Verizon site when it came available (V didn't even host the file when I upgraded my 6800). Verizon's link for the MR update for the XV6800 currently goes to:

Which is pretty much the same as the TP2 link we have now (same distributor at least) This is probably as good as we're going to get from VZW, unfortunately. But you're right, Verizon doesn't even have the
link for the update showing at the moment for the TP2.
