I discovered this by trying to figure out why HTC Messaging was not allowing us to send MMS through its interface... I was poking around and trying different combination and this is what I ended up with... I really like the way HTC Messaging looks so I wasn't satisfied with disabling HTC Messaging altogether to get MMS working, the good thing about this is that you still use HTC Messaging for SMS

Did you do a fresh hard reset or flash before doing this workaround?

A Verizon user has said that this workaround does work for them, they even said they didn't do a hard reset at first and it didn't work for them, then they did a hard reset and had success.

it worked.

but to view picture i have to go to all messages. then it works.

it doesnt work on the other screen.
but thats good enough for me to be honest

I usually view the picture when it comes in, that way I won't have to use the all messages like you're saying, do you have notification disabled when a picture comes in? I'm glad it's working for you too!

Is it possible to add a quicklink that goes directly to arcsoft to send a picture. It is great that you can get there through the picture viewer but I was just wondering if there is a way to map a quicklink directly to compose an MMS just as you do when you click the icon in the SMS tab.

I looked for this, my theory is that it starts within a dll somewhere... so the entry in the registry would be something.dll, 0 or similar... because I'm with you, it would be great just to go right into composing instead of having to select SMS/MMS

Verizon users don't really need this fix with most 2.5 ROMs.

With Verizon, you can use the HTC messaging app (if you want) & send/receive MMS pics right in that app and also use it for SMS with a few server edits.

I have had this working perfectly in three different sense 2.5 ROMs (I am running NRG Dusk right now, I was previously running Juicy)

When I receive an MMS pic, it appears as a thumbnail right in the text & clicking on it opens the image full screen. I can go back to the text & open it at a later time also.

I am trying to get this to work with MM War and while sending is working flawlessly I am not recieving anything not even an emptry message.

This was done on a fresh flash of war the only thing done before doing this fix was doing the carrier provisioning.

Anyone have any idea's?
