And after you install that, you might want to run the CorrectSMSDate also. That should fix the dates of existing messages.

Thanks Sci, I decided to take the night off and not even turn on the computer.

Re: Fix/Workaround for 2016 Issue

What is the technical difference between the official HTC fix & Ziggy's?

I already know my fellow NoVa-ian is a genius.

The difference is that you can install mine on any device, where as the HTC official fixes check the device prior to install and will only install on the specified device. The only caveat here is that mine 'should' work on most 6.5 ROMs. It's actually the same thing that Mike just cooked into his Official release for the TP2 dated yesterday.

All I did, like others, is open up the HTC official fix, extract the rilphone.dll, added a few reg edits, and cabbed it up. The reg edits I added unset the values I had originally posted, since some ROMs had those already in there, and for the lazy that didn't want to uninstall/change the keys.

So you live in what I like to call the root of all evil, the NCR? lol

Re: Fix/Workaround for 2016 Issue

ziggy471, any idea why some people had the problem of having to hard reset after intsalling this fix? said that they installed it, then they got the image saying that one or more files did not match the oem image on the phone? something like that. they ended up having to hard reset. this might of been in the other 2016 thread also.

Probably because they were not on a newer 6.5 ROM. All I know is what I have tested myself, in other words War, and what others have said work. Of those, they were all newer 6.5 ROMs.

Hey Ziggy, any new thoughts on this problem?

Not to sure about that, I looked into it briefly the other day. As soon as I finish with some stuff for Mike, I'll look into it again.

Okay in the absence of anyone more expert responding I'll try and help.

Which things EXACTLY did you install on your phone?

Did you delete them by using Settings / System / Remove Programs or by some other means?
