Can you flag an email?

Is there a way to flag an email by using an extension or third-party app?
It's difficult to keep track of important emails that I'd like to follow up on later without flag function.
What I do is make important mails "unread" again, but it's not a perfect solution because you have to later distinguish between "unread" important mails and unread unread mails.

Re: Can you flag an email?

I see the option, but I can't figure out why flag options are grayed out!

You see an option? I don't see any option to begin with.
Are you using WM native email client?

Not flags. But if you are talking about an Outlook account with an Exchange server; what I do is: from the message view you can choose menu, tools, and manage folders and set more of your outlook folders to sync with exchange. Then move messages to specifc folders (I keep a folder named "active" for current important items, then move them to another folder for archiving or simply delete them if finished with them.

When I go into the inbox (where all the emails are listed) and keep my finger on a particular email - a pop up menu will appear that includes the "Set Flag", "Complete Flag", and "Clear Flag" options.

I am currently on Mightyrom with 6.5, and I am pretty sure this feature was also on the stock TP2 rom.

Re: Can you flag an email?

I don't get that option when I hold on an email, but I do get it when you go to the Menu soft key on the bottom right.

Menu > Follow Up >

Set Flag
Complete Flag
Clear Flag

But they are all grayed out!!!!

Not sure if it matters, but I'm using HouMing File Explorer Extension

and kPen SafeInboxExtender

Re: Can you flag an email?

Okay ... this is what a few us found after playing around with our TP2's... My email is sync'ing with Exchange - and the options are available. A friend here is sycn'ing via his Outlook client using Active Sync - and the options are available.

However, for the inboxes that are downloading from hotmail - these options are greyed out. My best guess is, since WinMo is using pocket Outlook - it only enables those options when it knows it is dealing with Outlook client or Exchange?

But they are grayed out on my phone for the account that syncs with an Exchange Server.
