Yeah this all makes no sense to me. Why do you have the phone then? Why are you on the forums for it?

I'm calling for a vote to move this thread to the Android forums, since it really makes no sense being here.

Plus, if you bought the phone, then realized you didn't like it, maybe you shouldn't just go out and buy things impulsively like that. DO THE RESEARCH.

I vote to close this thread. It has run it's course. The op made his point and so has everyone else. Let's all agree to disagree. The clear winner is the phone carriers. They don't care which platform you use. You're still using their service and paying them every month. To them all of them are good/bad.

Individuals have purchased iphones in hopes of using them for business, under the belief they could do work with it. Read the horror stories in the many forums set up for them. They struggle massivly on the business end.

Very few businesses purchased iphones or androids for use by their employees. The ones that did purchase iphones, was almost always due to one particular application needed for their line of business that happens to work better on iphone or android.

Most folk would say they got it for business so they don't look childish buying an overpriced toy anyway.

Talk to the IT administrators for any larger (250+ employee) company, most companies buy blackberry for their employees, the rest buy winmo. The admin may have an iphone or android, but that's cause they're geeks and the iphone/android arena is where all the development and testing action is at for the moment while their popularity is so high.

And to the troll that said they don't use their winmo phone for business; wth ya doin buyin a business phone for?!? Classic case of uninformed consumer, and in todays age of info accessable from a few keypresses,, translates to pure and simple laziness.

Wake up people, shop, search, and research. Buy a device made for the functions you need and/or want. Check out user forums for common issues related to what you need it to do. Make your decision based on what you need, not what the current fad is. Is individual thought really that far gone in the general population of the current generation?

None of it sucks, not iphone, not android, not winmo (err guess they're calling it winpho now), and not blackberry. They just all have their target segment, and trying to cross segments with an individual device is difficult at best and in some cases, fully futile. If people researched real world capabilities and intended uses, they wouldn't be so frustrated and there would be allot fewer wasted bytes on threads such as this.

Because I'm a tech person and and want technologically advanced phone. I was blessed with the tp2 after TP1 touchscreen died it's not a choice i made. And when i bought my tp1 there was no android phone on Sprint. It was either windows mobile, wackberry, or the crazy outdated palm OS of that time. My options on my carrier were slim to none and at the time a Wm phone was the best option for my tastes (big screen, customizable, multitask).

Funny thing is i never bashed Wm. I simply stated what everybody knows, it needs help(all mobile OS do in some form or another) in the form of major update (which is on the way). Then i simply corrected somebody misinforming what an iphone could and couldnt do. Im not biased in any way, i see it how it is

but mainly because of all the crap that carriers add to it.

flash a new rom and itl get alot better. as far as using it i like to add the spb software. but ru right, windows mobile isent really that intuitive, but it is more capable than other os's

I agree. I don't need dumbed-down devices so I can hear the latest stupid ass song out there easier. I don't need to bump my phone to send a contact to my friend (although the technology does exist for WinMo), because I'm not stupid and can figure out how to do it without help.

Great hardware that HTC is coming out with and I'm glad other platforms are taking advantage of it. Let's hope that Microsoft also gets on board in 2010 with Mobile 7.

just my 2 cents if you all dont mind... i am not a pro user, but the 6900 is pretty close....
WinMO is not the most functional for a power user. i use my phone for everything and to have a lag issue is seriously frustrating. 3 months ago i got the balls to flash to 6.5 in an effort to get outside the lag issue, there are good days and bad days. i am waiting for an android flash rom to come out.
once again IMO WinMO is only popular because the name... Microsoft, by default people trust it- dont know why, but they do- being a former WinCE user, WinMO is a small step in the right direction. personally, my phone is the only microsoft product in my house. apple aced the market moving to unix, lynux is super solid for android. getting everything to HTC in a workable rom is a bit of a task. ever since winXPsp2 my respect for microsoft products has steadily grown weaker.
