I was thinking about doing that too. I was curious about if I need to take it in for warranty claim. They might not like that hole being there much.

naaaa lol i just tough some people out there may goin crazy about having to remove the cover to do such of simple thing i mean what was htc thinking? and as far as warranty i dont worry if anything happens to it i call cust serv on the phone they send me a new phone i keep the new phone and my old cover return the rest and done deal!

I was going to do this early on, but found a little program to do soft-resets, and then there is always the power button. I've installed hundreds of programs, some that clashed either with another program, or with the TP2, and yet have only had to remove the cover once to soft-reset, so I haven't bothered drilling the hole.
