Re: inaccurate weather?

Just make sure you are not using an Airave it really messes up your location information. At least for me.

The weather in Sense 2.1/2.5 only updates every 3 hours if on automatic, so it's not a big drain on your battery, especially if you've got quickgps on there for rapid locks.
I sure hope it does not use gps because that would kill battery pretty fast. You certainly don't need 10 meter accuracy. Last I checked weather is usually the same on both sides of town. It certainly waste for such dumb weather program. It's easier to just look out the window.

When I tried MR a few weeks ago it didn't behave any different than any other rom.

I think we should act like those ever-friendly and level-headed flight attendants and sue the weather service: http://www.bnd.com/breaking_news/story/1057292.html

I understand your point, and if you want real "real-time weather" obviously the weather animation on the TP2 isn't everything you need and you may want to look into other weather apps, but for my needs it's fine. I've never needed the weather animations to let me know the sun went down... Anywhere I am I can look outside and see if it's sunny, etc. I'm more interested in the weather forcast, but then again, that's also what the news in the morning is for. I've yet to find one that is 100% accurate, especially since temps vary so much by even little locations. If my weather changes eventually to snow in the morning and shorts in the afternoon, I'll find a better weather program at that time.

Re: inaccurate weather?

I agree that if you need to have accurate weather on your phone then this is not going to do it. It is an eye candy feature with cool graphics and a sometimes, somewhat accurate temperature. Sometimes my temp is shown spot on and yesterday it was off by 20 degrees for a few hours. I live in the southwest desert area so temps change fast here. I keep a bookmark for up to date accurate weather reports on opera mini that I can pull up quick if needed for any city. The manila weather is some nice eye candy tho, but thats not always very accurate.
