A followup for responders...
I do legally own all the games that I want to play on my touch pro 2. I want some super mario games, final fantasy and dragon warrior series. I'm under the notion that if you own the games and dl roms to play on other devices, you're not breaking the law. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I don't want to do anything illegal.

Re: Question regarding Emulators for the TP2
Thats because those emulators are for VGA devices.Their is a .cab/fix out there that will lower the resolution on the tp2 allowing you to play it,ill try a search and see if i find it and will post here.
Heres is .cab 1)Install SdkCerts. first 2)Install WVGAFIX.cab file Soft reset Now you can see WVGAFIX in all programs. Let me know if that works. Last edited by Rager02; 04-22-2010 at 01:49 AM. |

Re: Question regarding Emulators for the TP2
For PocketSNES , what version are you using?
Tell you waht, here is a version of PocketSNES that I have used a few times. It's the only one that really works ok on the TP2. This is a VGA version made by nOp . He has it in .7z format so I extracted the files, then made a .cab file which I have set to default install in Program Files. You may change the default location on install. I also created a shortcut in the start menu. For this version, you won't need tgetfile. It uses gsgetfile instead which is placed inside the default psnes install folder. Hope this works for you. BTW, I get 3/4 of the screen when I play. You will probably need that WVGAFIX to get full screen. I would also recommend you download and install KforRaphael which allows you to map out more keypad buttons.

Re: Question regarding Emulators for the TP2
Check out the SmartGear thread thats labeled something like "Smartgear works great on TP2 NES/Genesis". Bitbank , the developer of this great emulator has been posting in here and has been actively updating his emu. As of right now, NES works great on it. Genesis supposedly does also but I will note some people are having probs getting Gen to work correctly. If you're concerned about quality, NES emulation has been fixed. Sound , according to him has been fixed perfectly almost. SNES is still in development and he's not sure if he will spend any time working on that portion. SNES emulation is difficult.
Anyway, go check it out. It's much better than it once was in version 1.0.4. And again, it's still in testing. It also isn't a free app for the full version. But if you ask me, that's a small price to pay for a really good multi-system emulator that is actively being worked on. He's considering adding CPS2 arcade emulation if anyone is interested. |

Re: Question regarding Emulators for the TP2
ppcgpirate - Not a bad idea... BUT .. there will be no sound. Games are not fun to play when you don't have sound. Ruins the experience and gameplay IMO. Thanks for the idea though.
