Re: Thinking of trading/selling TP2 or Sprint Hero
Craigslist is great for trading. I had the pre and traded it for a touch pro 2. I had the tp2 for a little but wasn't too happy with it and then traded it for the moment. These were are new phones by the way. I just sold the moment a few days ago because I was completley let down by it. Now I am back to my hero, where I should have just stayed. All this was done on craigslist.
Make sure you meet in a public place or even a sprint store so you can get the phone activated on the spot to make sure the esn is good. If someone is selling a hot or stolen phone they won't want to meet at sprint and that is the first sign something is wrong. This was mentioned above by another poster but I am stressing it again. |

Re: Thinking of trading/selling TP2 or Sprint Hero
i thought the stock rom on the TP2 fit the bill for the "just works" requirement. i dont think it would be too hard to train a non-tech person to use it, but you know your wife better than we do.
i got the hero for my non-techy wife. overall, i think the interface is easier than the TP2, but not everything "just works". she has had problems with yahoo mail not working, the sms battery drain stuff, phone calls that seem to go straight to voice mail even though she has a strong signal and text messages not getting sent. it is a good OS and overall she likes it. in many ways it is easier than WM. but it isnt perfect. there are a few things that dont work well. i dont like the web browser. typing long stuff is still a bit of a chore without a keyboard. maybe it is easier for those accustomed to capacitive screens, but i dont like typing on it at all. maybe the moment or whatever is called would be better. craigslist can be good. my chief complaint is the buyers can be really flaky. lots of people will promise to show up with cash in hand, but few actually do. |

Re: Thinking of trading/selling TP2 or Sprint Hero
Hmm a local guy on craigslist just emailed me, he the Palm Pre and its within his 30 days still. He wants to trade because he cant find the TP2 anywhere...
I always really liked the Pre, as far as it being easy to use, I think it us there with the iPhone. Hmm i do however need tethering support in the waiting time until i get my new phone and dont know if the pre has that. |

Re: Thinking of trading/selling TP2 or Sprint Hero
So far I really, really, really like it. First impressions are very good so far but I will report back once I have it in the field longer.
