The value that has the file path leading to Opera or PocketIE, whichever is your default, should be changed to the file path that leads to your Opera Mini install.

For example, mine said "Windows\blahblahblah\Opera9.exe or something like that.

It now says "Program Files\Opera Mini\jbed.exe" and the quotes do have to be there or else it won't work.

But like I said, right now it launches Java and then you have to actually choose to launch the Beta from there. I've got no idea how to change that from happening.

Try This: "\Storage Card\Opera Mini 5\OperaMini5-WM-armv4i"

***NOTE THAT I USE THE storage card path BECAUSE THAT IS WHERE MINE IS AND IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM.

dont forget the .exe at the end!


by the way...this works for the tab in TF3D - but that seems to be about it. when i click on links in my email, rss reader, etc... it still launches Opera Mobile 9.5

any thoughts on how to make mini the default for these types of things ???

I just tried changing the http ones from above and now when I click on http links (tested it in an email) it launches Mini 5 !!!!!!!

it opens mini 5...however it doesnt go to the address you clicked on...it just sits with the www sitting in hte box like it is right after you open mini 5.

any ideas?

Hey, I did the [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\EFBROWSER] ab -> 1 -> "\Storage Card\Program Files\Opera Mini 5\OperaMini5-WM-armv4i.exe" ....... This made Opera Mini my default browser for everything - TF3D, links in email, sms msgs, etc.....

Did it 3 times and nothing, for some reason I cannot get it to work, and it is the same location as yours.

What registry editor are you using?? Also, even the slightest deviation from what I put will cause it to not work...... can you post what you typed? just checkin' all the angles!

do your bookmarks work? or does it just open up the browser
