Re: Native HTC messaging MMS fix (collaboration)

Update

Still working on reviewing the info and testing various options.

When I sent the MMS from 2.5 HTC Messaging, the X-MDN info is being changed back to the */* info which I do not know what that is doing. When the message is sent, confirmation is being received from the Sprint MMS server but the message is not actually getting delivered.

In the info the from field in the MMS message is blank. I believe that is one issue. Second issue, Sprint's MMS uses WAP2.0, when using WAP setting, something is hardcoded to use AT&T servers and I have not been able to find anything in this ROM that refers to anything AT&T.

I wonder if we could find that IP AT&T address with a hex editor in one the binaries. And perhaps patch it. I don't see that ip address in the registry nor anything in attwireless domain. It's gotta be somewhere.

Oops. I forgot I cleaned out all other providers to minmize confusion over what the tools were using. I forget if AT&T was in the list of providers. What if someone were to edit the AT&T MMS provider with Sprint IP and URLs (and leave it on WAP).

Just a thought.

I need to reflash my phone to get back what I cleaned out.
I did reflash the 2.5 to see if there were any references to AT&T. I believe NRG removed all GSM carrier info from the ROM.

Thanks to the person that posted on the Hero board for HTC Messaging settings. If they post it, we can use that to compare settings. Unfortunately they will not be able to export the reg since it's not Windows.

Tried it all! And Every time I have a MMS sent it just shows two of them, one no subject and the other from the person that sent it. I am unable to manually download nor does it even show there is a pic in the HTC Messaging Client. Any insight on possible what could be wrong?

Okay, I am up and running now.

1. Made server changes as recommended by Ziggy on Page 7 of this thread (this is probably unnecessary as the following registry changes I made seem to do this same thing).

2. Downloaded Ziggy's registry .txt file (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...101286&page=20, Post #196)

3. Added my phone number to "Replace Me" sections in .txt using notepad

4. Saved file as .reg instead of .txt and transfered it to SD Card

5. Imported .reg using Resco Explorer

6. Soft reset, and it worked!!

Thank you everyone!!
IDK if this rom just does not like me but I am unable to get it working lol. I think the Arcsoft is installed and messing this up. You know how I can remove it?

I think Arcsoft is blocking or causing me problems. I need to disable it. Anybody knows how i can do so? I need to be using Jataayu as the default.

Arcsoft isnt in NRGZ leo rom bro, please try to keep your questions in one post, we dont want to clutter this thread, and being that your having an issue with something in the rom, go to that thread and get support there.
