Cool, glad to here it.

I just had another idea as to how to approach this, has anyone looked into the Message_Settings.xml???? Could it be as simple as there is a hidden item? If you look into the MsgSettingsDll.dll.0409.mui file, if I'm reading it right, it appears to have a choice of of CDMA or GSM at 0x1800.

Now this is where I'm really out of my realm and could use the help of someone whose worked with HTC layout xml files.

Did you get this from the factory ROM from Sprint? I dumped the Arcsoft reg key and I have a differnet file name for the WSPHeaders. From my Sprint factory ROM, I got 1216513.rdf and not %CDMA_ROM_VERSION%.rdf

I posted my dump on post 140.

Re: Native HTC messaging MMS fix (collaboration)

I am doing network captures to check what is going on with the MMS packets, where they are going and the responses from the server. Trying three, one with the factory Sprint ROM, one with Energy "Leo" 21885 with 2.1 and one with Energy "Leo" 28014 with 2.5.

As soon as I analyze the results, I will post some info.

That's from a provisioning cab most likely, the 1216513 I'm assuming is the ROM version.

You are correct in stating that the number is most likely the rom version as Sprint's OEM Rom version for the TP2 is 1.2.1.651.3

Re: Native HTC messaging MMS fix (collaboration)

First and foremost, thank you Ziggy for getting this problem fixed. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I can't seem to get MMS to send at all. I get a long delay and then a failed to send message. I'm on Verizon with a fresh MM Impact flash and I ran the MM Verizon Provisioning. I've tried both with and without the Valkyrie cab. Here are the settings I'm using in MMS Server settings. (All messages -> Menu -> Settings -> Options -> Menu -> MMS Server)

Server Name: VZW
IP Address: Blank
Port Number: 80 (changed from 8080)
Server Address: http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/MMS?X-VZW-MDN=40XXXXXXXX
Connect via: Verizon Wireless (other options are "My Work Network", "My ISP", and "Work")
Send Limit: 1024 KB
WAP version: None

Are there other changes I'm supposed to make? Thank you everyone in advance for any help.

-Kyle

Re: Native HTC messaging MMS fix (collaboration)

Kyle,

Those are the same settings I'm running (Juicy R3, Verizon) & my MMS works super.

I did run the Valkyrie cab, but it might well have worked without it (I don't know for sure as I never tried it)

Try adding a 1 to the MDN number. Everyone I've seen so far is an 11 digit phone number.

So far it's good.

I was able to capture the data using the factory ROM and Leo 2.1 Rom.
I did have to make some minor changes to the Leo 2.1 to get the messages through. I am seeing the request to the server and acknowledgement from the server.

Next is the 2.5 ROM.

Post more shortly.
