Re: Which Opera Browser Are You Using?

I'm now using Opera 10 beta 2. The first beta was really buggy but this one has been totally solid and has a really nice interface. The newest Skyfire (1.5) is a really good overhaul as well. Between those two I'm set.

does opera b2 autorotate and use the zoom bar to zoom in? and did they fix the memory issues they had with the first?

can anyone point me in the direction of a cab for the stock 9.5 opera incase i want to revert back to that one?

I think the Skyfire updates are marginal at best.

It claims to fully suopport WVGA, but text still looks far worse on SF than any other browser. The speed is not great either, while using kinetic scrolling I am constantly looking at that damn checkerboard screen(this doesn't happen to me with ANY other browser)

Panning is messed up etc etc

I imagine the speed issue will resolve itself as more & more people realize it really isn't all that great & go back to their previous choices (freeing up the server load).

I will continue to do the same thing I have always done, use SF when I absolutely have to have flash on certain sites but use OperaMini the other 95% of the time for a MUCH more enjoyeable browsing experience.

Re: Which Opera Browser Are You Using?

Opera Mobile 10b2 all the way. I only break Skyfire out when I need to check my Farmville on Facebook.

Re: Which Opera Browser Are You Using?

just tried out the opera 10 beta 2

its a pretty good browser my only complaint is that its a memory hog i was at 65% before using and it jumped all the way to 92% when i had it up and running, and i dont like the download manager at least for pictures it didnt give me the option to save to my memory card.

im lookin to try out a 9.7 browser with the autorotation enabled next if i can find one

Re: Which Opera Browser Are You Using?

I was bored so I tested three of the opera browsers to see how much memory they use on my TP2.

total...........used.......free.....%used...condit ions
183.58M.....98.07......85.51....53.42....after a soft reset
183.58M.....126.11....57.47....68.69....only opera 10 b2
183.58M.....105.48....78.10....57.45....only opera 9.5
183.58M.....106.72....76.86....58.13....only opera mini 4.2
183.58M.....144.21....39.37....78.55....All 3+Camera,file explorer,activesync
183.58M.....147.66....35.92....80.43....all above,+Music playing on Nitrogen

Personally I use Opera Mobile 10 beta 2 almost exclusively. I use Skyfire to stream the radio stations I can't get with WunderRadio.

Re: Which Opera Browser Are You Using?

Usually the Opera 10 download manager does let you save to the card. It does it differently than 9.7, though. You choose "other" and then it will let you browse to the card.
