yes, it does. Last year, I replaced my router & some cabling on my LAN & my SlingMobile quality improved quite noticeably (RoadRunner Turbo internet connection).

The problem I have is, it's not consistent & I'm not really sure why.

One day I will get 25 fps (& the picture is perfect) & the next day on the same channel in the same area I will get 2 fps (it still works but it's very blotchy/pixelly)

I use the thing everyday & would be lost without it, but I wish I could figure out how to ALWAYS get over 20 fps..........

Re: Slingbox on TP2 what are your settings?

I'm giving some thought to the Slingbox for use with my Verizon Touch Pro 2:

1. Is there any point in getting the HD Pro version of Sling Box if the primary use will be on the Touch Pro 2, and Laptop only secondarily?

2. Does the Windows Mobile app take advantage of the wonderful 480x800 pixel landscape orientation of the TP2?

3. I'll need to set it up in a room reasonably near my WR54TG Wireless Router, and there's a good chance I'll be adding a BluRay player with ethernet connectivity. Which is the better option - SlingLink Turbo/4-port Receiver, or some type of multi-port Wireless Game Adapter or Ethernet Bridge?

Re: Slingbox on TP2 what are your settings?

I have the SB Pro (not the HD, that was not available at the time). I have it hooked up with the component cables from my HD cable box & also straight from my cable line.

This gives me two different video input options as the Pro SB has an internal tuner. If I pick the cable box as the input for SlingMobile, I get all the premium channels (HBO, all the on demand channels etc etc) but the Sling channel has to be the same channel as the home TV.

If I pick the cable as the input, then I can watch a DIFFERENT channel than the home TV is on although it is limited to basic cable channels (no HBO etc)

I probably would have bought the HD if it was available at the time although it gives no advantage whatever on a cell phone & that's really the only thing I use my SB for.

I would not recommend the Sling Link wireless setup. I tried that briefly & at least in my house it totally sucked. It worked, but my SlingMobile reception was terrible & it dropped the connection constantly.

Unfortunately, no it doesn't.

It works fine in LS, but it's not 100% full screen.

Thanks!
Hava Windows Mobile is ideal for 320x240 qVGA phones. It plays (forced landscape) but on TP2 (verizon stock) you can't bring up the remote or change channels. only the play/stop (center button) and volume works, plus the menu (too slow to change channels with menu). no keyboard shortcuts work.

you could run WVGAFIX3 to set the device to 640x480 but that doesn't remedy anything plus the phone is unusable for anything else during playback.

i'd settle for running qVGA resolution in portrait mode but the software is too stupid to allow for that too.

utterly pathetic customer support.

Re: Slingbox on TP2 what are your settings?

Is there a way to put Slingbox into landscape mode and not have to open/slide the keyboard. I want to put it onto my Vent Mount in Landscape mode. However my mount won't hold the TP2 with the keyboard open.

Any suggestions?

Yes. There's a little icon at the bottom that sort of looks like the icon at the top right of the window on your PC that makes the window full screen. On the Sling, the icon puts the slingplayer into landscape mode.

Re: Slingbox on TP2 what are your settings?

sndtubes,
I can get my phone into landscape full screen if I slide the TP2 keyboard open. What I want to be able to do is to do Landscape with the keyboard closed.

What version did you download? I would like to try your version. I have that icon in landscape but not portrait.

Re: Slingbox on TP2 what are your settings?

I have both a Slingbox and a Hava. I'm currently using the Hava as it has much better quality when viewing on my local network.

I'm using a Hava mobile client that was posted here. It works correctly in landscape mode, even in WM 6.5 (where WVGA doesnt work)
