But I can totally understand where you're coming from.

And since when did cell phone manufacturers stop giving out accessories? I remember I bought a phone 10 years ago and it came with more accessories than I knew what to do with (holster, ac adapter, car charger, headset, etc.).
a) they know people will buy the phone without it
b) if something goes horribly wrong with an accessory and it destroys your $600 phone, they don't want to be liable
c) they make money on accessory sales
d) all the above

you want cheap, swap meet or ebay from China. You want best and inexpensive, ... damn, I just brain farted on the website where I bought my OEM HTC car charger (charges at 2A, and looks cool - perfect accesory for our non-cheap phones). If I remember, I'll post it, but it was for less than $20 shipped. It was an online store. Oh, haha! I just remembered. Expansys. Buy it there.

Re: Where can I get cheap and reliable car charger?

I have a usb car charger from Samsung or some other fairly reputable company, I think I paid $10 for it, and leave it in the car. Charges just fine, never had an issue, and just one of the million cords I have around from the TP2, cameras, etc, etc. I don't think you need to buy one from Sprint, VZW etc, but you also don't need to get the cheapest one from China...

I always buy my stuff on eBay - I do like to get genuine stuff - it's only a little more and they are much better quality - Here is the ones that I use Link

That's from China, search around and get it from US will come a lot faster. The cord on this one is a good length, charges the phone fast and has a cool blue light.

Re: Where can I get cheap and reliable car charger?

I use double USB chargers and any USB cord we have laying around. We use the double so that my wife and I can charge our phones at the same time. Never had a problem with either one. I've never had to replace them and never had issues with charging any of our phones, ipods or zunes. You can get them almost anywhere for less than $10 or you can buy the same thing at Best Buy for $15.

FYI: I remember seeing in a thread a while back that those aren't OEM HTC chargers, but rather replicas. What's the difference? Don't ask me, I don't know, but what I do know is my brother bought a pair of Motorola HT820 Bluetooth headphones from China - looks identical, but once it finally arrived, it was obvious it was a replica. Felit light and cheap (plastic material was super flimsy, earpads were even cheaper), audio quality was very poor (My authentic HT820's from Motorola sound amazing - even after 4 years, still running strong), and had battery & sync problems.

All I'm saying is buyer beware with replicas from China. And yes, it's well known China specializes in replicas. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on China or Chinese products, I'm just saying it's not always as advertised.
