Sprint users on Mighty Mike's ROM

Mighty mikes ROM is by far the most popular ROM , but I have noticed an issue and I did confirm it with numbers and tests , and I want to know if there is any solution or if there is anybody who have noticed the same thing.


I am having issue with the internet speed , Using IE I am getting 180 KBPS , using opera 9.5 / 9.7 and netfront I am getting less than 500KBPS , and I tried diffferent locations, and different time of the day , and It is the same, and I even went to a 5 floors building and I did not get any higher than these numbers.

Utube cut the song or the video multiole times , and I have multiple signs telling me the internet is slow.

so I flashed the stock , and boom , back to normal 1.6MBPS and 1.8 MBPS and 1.1 MBPS , Utube is not cutting any song and the internet is just fast.

I are we missing something in this Custom ROM ?

anybody else tested speeds and noticed the same ? I do not need answers based on how much you love this ROM , I love it too , and Mike's work is definitely unique ,and I how know exactly how much time is needed to build such a ROM and the pain in the a.. associated with building a ROM I just need somebody to run the tests and tell me what he/she is noticing about internet speed.

I know very well that ROM has nothing to do with the radio and signal strength , but It has a great effect of the internet speed and how much packets/kilobytes you can pull from the internet.

i too have experienced the same thing. ive just been dealing with it but any ideas to help speed it up would be tremendous!

when i was on it i didnt notice anything like that but, did u hardreset after u flashed?? & did u do the Carrier Provisioning for sprint??if all fails i would suggest trying out JDs rom since its more for sprint users or cfays i just tested on his rom & got 1.20 dl 0.42 ul...good luck

I am on Sprint + MR 11/25 and get 1.48 down 0.40 up (Outside of Chicago). Haven't seen any slow down in speeds. Using the 1.96.00 WU radio.

If you are on Sprint, I would def recommend you check out CFay's rom. I was on MM; and now I'm on CFay and like it much better. Booting with about 42%, 110MB free. Just my $.02.

On MR 1125, just ran it again, basically the best I've gotten on Opera 701 kbps. IE was crawllllllllllling along..... but then comes back w/ 1072 kbps....go figure... I've tried at work w/ towers on top of the building and nothing seems to help. Although as it does work and even if it's a little slower than others, I can accept it for the stability.

yes I agree guys . i t is stable with nothing wrong with it ,except slower web browsing experience.
I am in southern califronia , and we are big time EVDO failure and the internet is really crappy.

yes I did all of that and furthermore I have tons of tweaks .nothing helped.

Using Juicy R5 and Skyfire for my results, pretty happy here...
