Re: Sprint users on Mighty Mike's ROM

lol skyfire for your results?

Skyfire uses server side rendering, you can't do speedtests with that.

There's not much to the rom in terms of data tweaks. I haven't touched any of that stuff so I'm not sure how it can be affecting you guys.

I NEVER said it had anything to do with your ROM, I was using it for the life of my TP, and now my wife is using it since she got my hand-me-down....I'm just trying different things and came across this....I'm just saying a custom ROM should not have killed his speed...No offense to a great Chef!

Re: Sprint users on Mighty Mike's ROM

I am on Sprint but have not had any issues with internet speeds with MM rom when I was using it. My phone instead liked to forget things like my text messages, emails, contacts, phone, etc. Kinda like a Half assed hard reset lol. I have a feeling like I can blame it on the Provisioningso I might try again and see if my problems reappear without it. I ran his first release rom for a few weeks without provisioning and it worked fine.

Re: Sprint users on Mighty Mike's ROM

By far Mikes Roms have been very well put together with very few bugs. For the internet speed I personally did find it very slow but here is what I did for my regedits to speed things up. First go into Regedit and do the following:
HKCU-Drop down Software-Microsoft-Windows-Current Version-And tap on internet settings. In Internet settings click edit and add a NEW DWORD VALUE- Value Name:MaxConnectionsPer_0Server.......Value Data:32........Base decimal and then change the MaxConnectionsPerServer that is already there from 8 to 16. close regedit and then soft reset. Do speed test to verify it works. I have sprint and my internet speed is very fast compared to before. Also I use Opera Mini 5 beta 2. Someone recently posted a cab for it so it gives you the shortcut. Hope this helps and Mike you did a great job with this. Hopefully you will get some time to do one with 2.5 with a working landscape. I know of all people if you do it, it will be close to perfect as possible.

Re: Sprint users on Mighty Mike's ROM

OK, here's the definitive test for me:

I ran the DSLReports speed test at lunch with MightyROM and got ~600kbps and sometimes lower. The signal strength in my office is pretty bad.

Flashed to CFay and got the same results.

Flashed back to the stock Sprint 6.1 ROM and...............wait for it................got the same results.

Back to CFay I guess. Might as well try it out for a few days since I have it. Not sure what's different from Mighty at first glance except for a different theme. We'll see.

BTW, I'm sitting in the same exact spot in my office for all of these tests. Same Sprint phone and Opera, obviously. No Skyfire. LOL.
