If that was the case and they where to discontinue the 6800 couldnt we just break break our phones and and claim insurance and by doing so get the newest model since they dont carry ours any more

The likely hood of Spring giving you anything for free is slim at best. It is more likely that Sprint would just discontinue this PPC and make those who have one keep the device or buy another. Any problems with this processor are most likely legal in nature (Qualcomm Lawsuit) and not functionality related so just keep making those custom ROM's were going to need them. This is something thats been bothering me, the fact that qualcomm is having huge lawsuits thrown at them, theyre chips are being banned in america, and yet they still have phones like this and the tilt for sale, if anything, the qualcomm chips might end up getting swapped out of newer 6800's, hopefully, not for a more powerful :P

If there's a proc problem bad enough to discontinue a NEW devince, then they would have to replace EVERY phone sold that's still under warrentee.

Everything I've read says that Sprint is getting the Vogue to "compete" w/ the iPhone, and they will be relabeling it the Sprint Touch (6900), but I havent read anything about the Mogul being discontinued, or the Vogue being labeled its replacement.

Sprint is naming the Touch the Sprint Vogue. It's going to have Sprint TV, the music store and navigation system, but the screen is of course no where near the size of the iPhone.

I haven't heard anything about us not keeping the Mogul around. I think this is all a rumor.

The Touch Dual has the Qualcomm® MSM 7200, 400MHz
and the Touch has a totally different processor TI's OMAP™ 850, 201 MHz

The Mogul is a Qualcomm 7500 400Mhz which seems about the same and the Touch Dual's. If the processor's were faulty, i dont believe HTC would continue to put the Qualcomm chip in any device they sell. They surely would have updated their website, and we would be hearing about this everywhere. I say Myth Busted!!!!

Mogul is better then other HTC phones and this Touch DUAL is huge kinda of reminds me of ppc 6600

The Beta Sprint Touch's (vogue's) show up in the billing system as a 6900s, that is all. The device should launch soon and the rumors seem to be coming from sprint employees who get the device and have do idea because there is very little documentation for the device and none of the documents call it the 6900.

side note, the Beta Treo Centro's are called Treo 690's in that same billing system.

It's amazing how far a pointless rumor can go. This one was likely started by a VZW user pissed by the long wait for the 6800. Sprint ain't recalling 'em and VZW will keep on screwing ya!
