Thank you so much.

I have a 6700 with WM6 installed. Yesterday and today the internet was so damn slow it was unusable. I talked to 2 sprint techs who were assuring me everything was ok with their network. I had other people at my work try with their sprint phones and they where also very slow. I did a hard reset on my phone thinking I would just start with a fresh install. That didn't work and was about to go back to WM5 until I saw this post. I can't tell you what speed I was getting because it took 2 min. to bring up google. And I wouldn't even think about trying to get a dslreport. I just changed my DNS servers and now getting 286Kbit/sec at home. I only get 1 bar EVDO if I'm lucky. I live west of Indianapolis. I will try tomorrow when I'm in Indianapolis with a full signal and will post it here. Thank you again. I wish I would have found this earlier, now I get to reinstall all my programs. Not to mention a long boring 2 days @ work with no internet. Would it be better to do a quick search for openDNS servers and find the closes one for less latency?

The settings won't stick unless you remove the CM_Guardian.exe from the /windows/startup as mentioned in the 2nd post. After you remove it, you must reboot and then you can make your changes.

Thaks Kryzie (and others ) I have been trying figure this problem out since about Thursday -- jumping to OpenDNS never occured to me as a possible solutions test.

The Sprint DNS servers must be FUBAR this weekend...

Thanks for the great advice

Hmmmm I don't know what the deal is either. I live in Southern California just north west of Los Angeles and on broadband reports I ALWAYS get over 900kbps, usually closer to 1100kbps when at home. I have full EVDO service everywhere in my local as well. Today I've been testing ALL DAY and I've been getting around 300-400kbps. This suuuucks...=/
And, I would like to erase CM_guardian.exe but when I go into windows/startup, all I find is HTC_CM_guardian.lnk, any help?

Re: internet help

HELP - my Sprint Mogul is SLOW, SLOW, SLOW for the past 24 hours to basically render it useless for internet and email. Any suggestions. I have the Feb 2008 ROM - didn't feel the need to update since my phone was working just the way I wanted except for the last 24 hours. The only change was just about an hour ago to up date to the latest PRL ...14, was ...10. No difference. And, also my tethering with PDANet is unusable too - what gives, any suggestions. I had my phone tested at the repair center and the "dunce" there said I had too little memory - HECK, I had 19mb FREE!!! when I can normally run with just 5mb of memory. Idiot! I not thinking a hard reset will work - sooooo PLEASE, any suggestions. I use my phone a ton on the road and everywhere in between. Thanks.

Re: internet help

Try going to http://corolada.com/prl/ and download the PRL that worked and see if it helps.
