hi,

I'm a newbie here with regedit on the phone, so someone plz tell me if i did it right. I used PHM Registry Editor to find [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing
"Extension"="rilphone.dll". When i click on it two box came up: one have Extension in it and one have rilphone.dll. I delete both of it. Now when I look in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing
I see "default". I was hoping that someone can tell me if i did it right or do i need to used a different program.

THanks

"Extension"="rilphone.dll"

Usual caveats about editing the registry apply here--don't do this unless you know how.
Luv2Chill: What program do I use to edit my registry please? Thanks!

Re: Debunking the Multi-NAI Myth

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I just installed the DCD 2.3.1 ROM and it looks like he's deleted this registry entry for us. Has anyone else found this?

Re: Debunking the Multi-NAI Myth

Awesome. Its gone on NexVision's too... this means I don't have to worry about a huge data bill since the idiots at Sprint can't figure out how to add PAM to SERO...

Re: Debunking the Multi-NAI Myth

It looks like the latest Sprint ROM has some process running that keeps me from deleting this entry. If I delete it and soft-reset the phone the setting is back again. Any ideas?

Re: Debunking the Multi-NAI Myth

how long did you wait before resetting...I didn't try deleting the key and resetting yet, but i've had to wait up to a minute before resetting to keep my entry. Waiting to get everything the way I want it, then making a backup, THEN deleting the key.

If sprint cares to look, they can see what kind of traffic your sending over the connection. If you run a bit torrent client, they may suspect you of tethering, they might even take action if they choose to,but there is no real way they can "prove" that you dont have a windows mobile bit torrent client (does such a thing exist,it would be pretty cool to have one) on your phone. Of course, its not a court of law so sprint does not have to prove anything. (Of course we could sue if they get way out of hand, but thats another story)
WinMobile Torrent exists and works well

Re: Debunking the Multi-NAI Myth

Getting the error code 67 here, looked in the registry and there is no "rilphone.dll" entry. There is only an entry for "isext.dll". This is using the new WM6.1 update. Has sprint changed something here? How do I get this ICS to work now?
