The only way to come out of it is a soft reset. Things is, when this happens, you dont know it because the screen is off; just like its supposed to be. All lights are flashing (signal / BT)- BT because I do have it turned on, not that its flashing for no apparent reason.
I realized that this problem was causing me to miss calls when I phoned myself thinking it might help wake the phone up.
Once I got home tonight from work, I did another hard reset, but this time, I didnt allow any customization to take place. Will see what happens during the night.

I've seen it mentioned as far back as when Telus released their WM6 on other sites. It is a BT issue, if you can live without BT, turn it off and your problem will go away. Don't have a solution yet if you actually want to use BT, though.
