The reason ImCokeMan's ROM doesn't have the issue is due to the fact its not modified. Colonel's version is modified/custom. The tools currently used to modify the 6800 ROM cause the phone to think the image is corrupt when its really not. Should not be a problem in the future.

I just tried Colonel's ROM and now my phone is stuck showing the tree and lightening. I can't get it to do anything except to go back to that screen when I reboot it. Any ideas?

Anyone have any problem with there Moguls not turning on after running the Alltel flash? Twice today, my Mogul would not turn on.The lights were still flashing but it would not turn on or take any incoming calls. The only way to fix it was to soft reset.

The only other charge has been adding registry mod to show battery icon on Titlebar. I have taken that out to see if by any chance that was the culprit.

Okay I didn't believe the hype... but the Alltel 6800 WM6 ROM is MUCH better than the Sprint ROM.

I opened every single thing on the phone and I'm at 15.71MB free RAM plus its just as fast as it was when I turned it on. The Sprint ROM started bogging down on PIE after I'd opened a few things... and I hadn't even opened as much as I have this time. Now lets see how that memory pool goes when I close everything.

BTW, this is the Alltel barebones OS from ImCoKeMaN without ANY customizations run, Sprint OR Alltel.

do you use BT?
There's a thread here about people who are able to crash the alltel rom at will by creating a certain situation involving bluetooth. I'd find the thread for you, but I'm on my mogul right now and its too much work.

I was just about to post this same thing. After installing the Alltel rom, my Mogul would not come on no matter what. Pushing the power button or any button for that matter had no effect.

The only way to come out of it is a soft reset. Things is, when this happens, you dont know it because the screen is off; just like its supposed to be. All lights are flashing (signal / BT)- BT because I do have it turned on, not that its flashing for no apparent reason.

I realized that this problem was causing me to miss calls when I phoned myself thinking it might help wake the phone up.

Once I got home tonight from work, I did another hard reset, but this time, I didnt allow any customization to take place. Will see what happens during the night.

Colonel, your ROM is GREAT, I love it. However, I still can't get BT to work with yours, or any other one.

This happened to me three times so far since I flashed alltel rom a few days ago. It happens when the BT is on. Since I only use BT while I'm driving, so I just turn it the BT off when i'm not in the car, and it seems working fine in this way.
